    What is Frank and Doris Bateson Memorial Graduate Scholarship, New Zealand 2020?

    The University of Canterbury is inviting applications from students enrolling in a postgraduate or PhD program in Astronomy and Astrophysics for Frank and Doris Bateson Memorial Graduate Scholarship 2020. The selected candidates will get a scholarship valued NZD 2,000 each.

    •  Applicant must be enrolled in a postgraduate level programme (i.e MSc Part II or PhD) in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Canterbury. 
    • The scholarship is open for both domestic and international students.

    The selected students will get an award benefit of NZD 2,000.

    Terms and Conditions

    • If it is necessary for their research, recipients, with the permission of the Dean of Postgraduate Research (in the case of PhD students) or the Dean of Science (in the case of Master’s students), may retain the scholarship while carrying out research for limited periods outside the University of Canterbury.
    • Tenure of the scholarship is one year.
