Canada Scholarships – One of the leaders in making a huge investment in the education system, Canada is home to hundreds of prominent educational institutions that take pride in their army of highly knowledgeable educators whose sole purpose is to create future leaders. The levels of education in Canada is divided into Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelors degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas/Certificates, Masters degrees and Doctorate or PhD.

The cost of studying in Canada as compared to other study abroad destinations is comparatively lower for international students. 1. Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program

Aimed to recognize creative students with extraordinary academic achievement and leadership qualities, Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program is awarded every year. To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, the applicant must be an international secondary school student nominated by their school with a study permit looking to commence studies in the following academic year.

Educational institution: University of Toronto

Award: Tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years

2. Presidents Scholarship for World Leaders

Provided to international students joining any course at The University of Winnipeg for the first time, Presidents Scholarship for World Leaders is open to applicants involved in activities that demonstrate leadership.

Award: Up to CAD 5,000

3.International Leader of Tomorrow Award

International Leader of Tomorrow Award is open for international undergraduate students with brilliant academic record, leadership skills, and regular participation in student affairs and community service.

Educational institution: The University of British Columbia

Award: The value of the award is proportional to the students financial need decided by summing up the tuition, fees, and living costs, and subtracting the financial contribution by the student and the family.

4.University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF)

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) is open to all students regardless of their citizenship and students in all fields of study of graduate studies are eligible to apply, provided their program is eligible for tri-council funding. The value of the fellowship is CAD 18,000 for Ph.D. and CAD 14,000 for Masters for a period of one year.

5.Humber University scholarships for international students

Humber University offers full tuitions renewable scholarships to new international students accepted to study in an academic program at the university. Eligibility is based on academic performance, community service and reference.

6.The Seneca Renewable Entrance Scholarship of Merit for International Students

Seneca College offers 10 renewable merit scholarships to international students accepted to study Diploma or Graduate Certificate program at the university. The scholarship is open to international students who have achieved a minimum GPA of 80% in Grade 12 or equivalent.

7.Ryerson University International Secondary School Merit Scholarship

Ryerson University offers 7 scholarships for international students applying to enter the university in Canada on a study permit. Each scholarship is worth CAD 5,000 and the applications open in January 2019.

8.Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships

Funded by Scotiabank, Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships is open to first year international students in any program. The award will be given as a second semester tuition fee credit to eligible newly admitted students for full-time post-secondary programs at the college.

9.Woori Education Scholarship

Woori Education Scholarship is open to international students based on their academic excellence and community service. A valid Study Permit is a must to be eligible for the scholarship.

11.Aga Khan Academy Renewable Scholarship

Aga Khan Academy Renewable Scholarship is open to an international student from an Aga Khan Academy with an outstanding academic, community service and leadership record. Scholarship amount of CAD 90,000 will be paid over four years of study for a student entering an undergraduate program at the University of Victoria. To be eligible, the applicant must be nominated by a school guidance counsellor, principal or department head at an Aga Khan Academy.

12.International Master’s (IMSA) and International Doctoral Student Awards (IDSA)

International Master’s (IMSA) and International Doctoral Student Awards (IDSA) are open to international students with valid Study Permit and who are enrolled full-time in research-based graduate degree programs at the University of Waterloo.

13.Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Scholarship
