Barbara Finlayson Scholarship, New Zealand 2021

Barbara Finlayson Scholarship, New Zealand 2021 is an initiative for Violin, Viola, and Violoncello students studying in the New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) at any level. The selected students will get awards worth NZD 14,000 for one year. 

Victoria University, Wellington is offering the scholarship.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be studying Violin, Viola, or Violoncello in New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) at any level 

The selected candidate will get funds for postgraduate study, travel, accommodation, and other expenses worth up to NZD 14,000 for one year.

The eligible candidate can apply for the fellowship by using the below-mentioned steps -

Step 3: Log in to the portal and fill in the scholarship application form.
Step 4: Submit the application.

• A personal statement outlining reasons for applying for the scholarship
• A study plan and a detailed budget covering expenses
• A reference from an academic, supervisor, or music teacher

Closing Date(s):

• 1 October (for School Leavers)
• 15 November (for current students)

• All offers of the scholarship will be conditional upon the recipient being fully enrolled in a full-year program.
• The scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
• Recipients must write a letter of thanks to the donor of the scholarship.
