    What is Chant Legacy Scholarship for Postgraduate Study in Governance 2020-21?

    Governance Institute of Australia invites applications from postgraduate aspirants in the study area of Governance for Chant Legacy Scholarship for Postgraduate Study in Governance 2020-21. The selected students will get financial award up to AUD 13,740.

    Who is offering this scholarship ?

    The Chant Legacy Scholarship was introduced by a trust set up in the original will of the late Mr Leonard Watson Chant. The trust is funding this scholarship at the Governance Institute of Australia.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must :

    • Meet the requirements of entry into the nominated postgraduate governance course in accordance with the rules of the relevant government-accredited education provider
    • Select a course of study which is relevant to his/her career aspirations and fits in with the intent and aims of the Chant Trust
    • Show financial need in order to apply for the scholarship

    What are the benefits ?

    The selected applicants will get an amount up to AUD 2,290 per subject and up to AUD 4,580 per semester (where more than one subject is studied within the semester) and to a maximum of AUD 9,160 per year. The total amount awarded to any applicant is up to AUD 13,740 for the entire duration of the study.

    What are the documents required for the Chant Legacy Scholarship for Postgraduate Study in Governance 2020-21?

    Following documents are to be attached with the application form:

    • 2 certified proof of identity (for example, passport, driver’s licence, birth certificate)
    • Proof of name change, if applicable
    • Statement of reasons for studying governance at postgraduate level

    If intending to utilise the scholarship to study Governance Institute’s Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance, include:

    • Certified copy of all relevant academic transcripts

    If intending to utilise the scholarship to study alternative postgraduate governance course, include:

    • Confirmation from the relevant entity that the applicant meets the requirements of entry into the nominated postgraduate governance course

    What are the important dates ?

    Applications deadline: 16th October 2020

    Terms and Conditions

    • The scholarship funding covers study fees only.
    • It will not cover any other fees or expenses, such as travel, campus accommodation, suggested reading and study materials.
    • The scholarship does not cover extra subjects as and when requested by the applicant. 
    • If the applicant's chosen study program is already underway, he/she is not eligible for this scholarship.
