Grant for PhD Students by Horowitz Foundation 2021 is a grant to support emerging and deserving scholars through small grants. The grant aims to address contemporary issues in social sciences. On the basis of merit, the successful applicants will receive a grant of USD 7,500.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a current Ph.D. researcher working on the dissertation
- Not hold a Ph.D. degree
- Have approved dissertation proposal from the head of the department
Note – There is no specific eligibility requirement for US citizenship or residency.
What are the benefits ?
The selected candidates will receive a grant of USD 7,500. Initially, USD 5,000 will be offered and USD 2,500 will be offered after the successful completion of the project.

Terms and Conditions
- Awards will be offered to individuals only.
- Grants are usually administered in the month of June.
- These grants are non-renewable and projects need to be completed within 5 years from the date of announcement of the award in order to claim the final payment.
- Letters of recommendation must be relevant to the project mentioned in the application form.
- Announcement of award winners will be made in late May.
- The scholars receiving this grant are also eligible for special monetary awards (if applicable).
