    GTRE Bengaluru Graduate, Diploma & ITI Apprenticeship Training 2025 is an opportunity provided by Gas Turbine Research Establishment for graduate students in specific fields. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹9,000.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 27 years as of 8 May 2025 and meet the respective criteria mentioned below.

    Graduate Engineering Apprentice Trainees

    • must hold a minimum qualification of a degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory university or a recognised institution
    • must be a B.E./B.Tech or equivalent student in one of the following:
      • Mechanical/Production/Industrial Production Engineering
      • Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
      • Electricals& Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Telecom Engineering
      • Computer Science/Computer/Information Science & Technology Engineering
      • Metallurgy/Material Science
      • Civil Engineering or equivalent

    Graduate Non-Engineering Apprentice Trainees

    • must hold a degree from a statutory university, state government institution, or recognised institute by state or central government
    • must be pursuing one of the following:
      • B.Com.
      • B.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/Maths/Electronics, etc.)
      • B.A. (Finance/Banking, etc.)
      • B.C.A.
      • B.B.A.

    Diploma Apprentice Trainees

    • must hold a minimum qualification of a diploma in engineering or technology granted by a state government institution or recognised institute by state or central government OR
    • must be a sandwich course student undergoing training for a diploma in engineering or technology
    • must be pursuing one of the following:
      • Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die design
      • Electrical& Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation
      • Computer Science/Engineering/Computer Networking

    Trade Apprentice (ITI) Trainees

    • must hold a certificate in a vocational course involving 2 years of study after the completion of the
    • secondary stage of school education recognised by the AICTE OR
    • must be a sandwich course student undergoing training for a certificate in the same
    • must be pursuing one of the following:
      • Machinist
      • Fitter
      • Turner
      • Electrician
      • Welder
      • Sheet Metal Worker
      • Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

    Note:-

    • Vacancies for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories will be reserved as per provisions of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Central Apprenticeship Rules, Apprentices Act 1961, Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015 & 2019.
    • Engineering and non-engineering applicants who passed in the years 2021-25 (last 5 years) are eligible for this apprenticeship. Earlier students are ineligible.
    • The ITI applicants must have completed ITI from NCVT or SCVT Boards.
    • Only applicants who appeared for their exams as regular candidates are eligible.
    • Students who have appeared for their qualifying examination but haven’t received their results yet as of 7 April 2025 are ineligible.
    • PWD candidates are eligible only for the designated trades as per apprenticeship rules.
    • Students who have undergone/are currently undergoing apprenticeships are ineligible.
    • Students with more than one year of experience are ineligible.

    What are the benefits ?

    Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of:-

    • Engineering stream:
      • Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech. etc) - ₹9,000
      • Diploma Apprentice - ₹8,000
      • ITI Apprentice - ₹7,000
    • Non-engineering (graduate) stream: ₹9,000

    Note:-

    • No TA/DA shall be provided to the candidates for interview/document verification/joining GTRE as apprentice trainees.
    • The apprentice trainees will not be provided any quarters/hostel accommodation by this establishment at the time of the interview and also during the training period.

    What are the documents required for the GTRE Bengaluru Graduate, Diploma & ITI Apprenticeship Training 2025?

    Candidates must bring the following original documents during joining:-

    • 10th marksheet and certificate
    • B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/ITI/Degree (B.com. / B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA)
    • Mark sheets for all semesters/year wise
    • Degree/Provisional degree certificate
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)
    • PWD certificate (if applicable)
    • Photo ID card issued by the government of India (Preferably Aadhaar Card)
    • EWS certificate (if applicable)
    • Two passport-size photographs
    • Police verification certificate (District Authority)
    • Medical Fitness Certificate

    The selection of candidates will be based on academic merit and document verification, depending on available vacancies. Shortlisted candidates' details will be posted on the DRDO website or via the provided email address, so candidates must check regularly for updates.
