    What is Helmut Veith Scholarship 2025-26?

    The Helmut Veith Scholarship 2025-26 is an opportunity provided by TU Wien, the Wolfgang Pauli Institute and, the colleagues and friends of the late Prof. Veith to female master’s students interested in Computer Sciences. This scholarship aims to support the education of talented female students. The selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver and a stipend of up to EUR 7000 (₹7,21,276 approx.) annually.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • qualify for admission to one of TU Wien’s English-taught master’s programs in computer science
    • have secured an unconditional admission to TU Wein
    • hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics (Bologna first cycle) or an equivalent degree.
    • Possess significant mathematical and technical knowledge, as well as interest in at least one of Helmut Veith’s research areas:
      • Logic in Computer Science
      • Formal Methods and Verification
      • Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
      • Algorithms and Complexity Theory
      • Computer Security
      • Demonstrate proficiency in English

    The selected candidates will receive:

    • Tuition fee waiver at TU Wien
    • Stipend of EUR 7000 (₹7,21,276 approx.) annually for a duration of up to two years

    Terms and Conditions

    • Funding recipients are required to maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout their studies, which means:
      • Earning an average of at least 25 ECTS credits per term from their master’s curriculum, starting from the beginning of their program (with deadlines on April 30 for the winter term and November 30 for the summer term).
      • Maintaining a grade average no higher than 1.5.
    • Recipients must reside in Austria during term time for the duration of their studies. Any exceptions or temporary absences (such as for internships or research visits) must receive prior approval.
    • The stipend is awarded for the standard duration of the master’s program, up to a maximum of 2 years, provided all conditions are met.
