HFSP Post Doctoral Fellowship, France 2021-22

HFSP Post Doctoral Fellowship, France 2021-22 is offering a research opportunity to Ph.D. degree holders. The main objective of this fellowship is to support transformative research in the Life Sciences and encourage early career scientists to broaden their research skills by moving into new areas of study while working in a new country.

The fellowship is being offered by the Human Frontier Science Program.

To be eligible for this fellowship, an applicant must:

• Be a Ph.D. degree holder in a Biological Discipline, if applying under Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) 
• Be a Ph.D. degree holder from outside the Life Sciences (e.g. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Sciences), if applying under Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF)
• Have at least one research paper as a lead author, either published in a recognized OA preprint repository or accepted for publication, or already published by a peer-reviewed journal
• Propose to work in a country different than the one where they have completed the 1st Ph.D. work or first post-doctoral studies

To apply for the fellowship, the candidate has to follow the given steps:

The selection will be made by the review committee based on the excellence of the proposed research plan, the excellence of the applicant, and the suitability of the host lab and environment. 

Fellowship Initiation Deadline - 27th August 2021

• The results will be published in internationally recognized scientific journals and/or on pre-print servers.
• HFSP is not liable for any damage or injury to the fellows at the time of research.
• There is one competition per year for HFSP postdoctoral fellowships.
• Only one HFSP postdoctoral fellowship Letter of Intent application is allowed in each competition year. However, unsuccessful candidates can apply in subsequent years, provided they still meet all eligibility criteria.
• An HFSP postdoctoral fellowship can only be held once.
• All applicants must propose a change in the country and in the research topic.
