IISER-K Summer Student Research Programme 2022

IISER-K Summer Student Research Programme 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata for B.Sc., M.Sc, B.S., M.S., B.Tech. and B.E. students. The programme provides an opportunity for exposure to a research environment by associating them with one of the Research Groups of IISER during the summer vacation.  The selected summer students will receive a certificate after completing the project.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER-K) is organising this summer research programme.

To be eligible, the applicant must:

• Be pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech. or B.E. degree from any institution or university across the world
• Be willing to stay on campus accommodation throughout the period of the visit unless the research work requires travelling
• Abide by the rules and regulations applicable to the regular students of IISER-K

Note - KVPY students are especially encouraged to apply.

Upon completion of the internship, if a student submits the project report to the supervisor and the supervisor finds the report is worth a summer project, then the student will be provided with a certificate.

Step 4: Fill in the application form, upload the relevant documents and submit. 

The selection will be based on the applicant's performance in the interview. 

Application Portal Opens - 20th April 2022
Application Portal Closes - 4th May 2022 at 6.00 P.M.
Publication of List of Selected Candidates -11th May 2022.
Duration of the Programme - 17th May - 15th July (60 days in this time frame)

• Students may also work in an offline mode if permitted by the project supervisor provided they arrange their own accommodation.
• IISER Kolkata will not provide any fellowship for the Summer Research Programme 2022.
• Any student who decides to join the project should agree to devote at least 5 to 6 hours a day to the project work for 60 days.
