The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, in collaboration with King’s India Institute, King’s College London is offering this opportunity.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian passport holder
- not be born before 1 January 1990
- be holding a confirmed PhD registration in an Indian university for at least two years but not more than three years.
- have first-class Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- have conducted research related to the humanities or social sciences.
- have positive communication from experts at King’s India Institute that they wish to engage with
Note:- An applicant is eligible to apply for either the Inlaks-King’s India Institute Studentship or the Inlaks Research and Travel Grant in the same year, but not for both simultaneously.
What are the benefits ?
Selected candidates will receive various benefits:-
- Travel allowance reimbursed up to USD 1,000.
- Monthly maintenance expenses up to USD 2,220.
- Funds for purchasing materials and making copies up to USD 500.
- Health allowance up to USD 500.
- Additional support from King’s College London of GBP 1,000 for the entire visit duration.

Step 6: Click on ‘Continue’ on the pop-up and then click on the ‘Send verification code’ button.
Step 7: Enter the verification code and click the ‘Continue’ button.
Step 8: Enter all the details mentioned, tick the check box, and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.

What are the selection criteria ?
Candidates will go through a two-tier selection process:
