International Excellence Award, Northern Arizona University, 2020

Northern Arizona University (NAU) is offering International Excellence Award 2020 to international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree at NAU. The selected candidate will receive a scholarship worth up to USD 10,000 per annum.

The scholarship is being offered by Northern Arizona University. 

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be a high-achieving underrepresented international student
• Be wishing to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree at NAU
• Have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher

Note: The students who have entered into a bilateral exchange programme, a dual degree programme or an ISEP exchange programme are not eligible for the scholarship. Also, the graduates with a graduate assistantship are not eligible. 

• The scholarship award amount varies between USD 10,000 per year
• USD 5,000 for the first fall and USD 5,000 for the first spring

There is no separate scholarship application form to be filled by the candidates. All the students applying for an undergraduate or graduate degree programme will be considered for the scholarship. Follow the steps below to apply:

Step 1: Visit the web page and choose a course program
Step 2: Applicants who wish to pursue graduate admission can click on "International Graduate"
Step 3: Click on "Apply to NAU" and fill the application and submit online.

Selection will be based on eligibility criteria.

Priority will be given to applicants that apply by March 1 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester. 

• In order to renew the scholarship award for USD 13,000 per year, scholars need to maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
• Students who maintain a GPA of 3.00 to 3.49 are eligible for renewal of the scholarship for USD 10,000 per academic year.
• The students are mandatorily required to participate in two community service projects (one in the fall semester and the other in the spring semester) and an international week (in the spring semester).
• Recipients will be notified of this award in their official Northern Arizona University acceptance packet.
• The students are required to return the duly signed acceptance of the award (scanned copy) to studynau@nau.edu.
