PAIS Departmental Scholarship 2022, University of Warwick is an initiative by the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS), the University of Warwick for students commencing M.A. study in Autumn 2022. The selected student will receive an award of up to GBP 10,000.

Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS), University of Warwick is offering this scholarship.

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

• Be interested in pursuing PAIS taught MA programmes, including the double degrees
• Have applied to the university and have paid their application fee no later than 15 April 2022 (Note - The applicant must have submitted the application to the MA programme before submitting the scholarship application.)
• Have obtained an offer from the university before taking up the award

Note - The candidates can apply concurrently to other funding sources; however, successful candidates who receive major tuition funding elsewhere will be disqualified.

The selected candidates will receive scholarships under the following categories - 

• For Home candidates - £5,000 awards 
• For Overseas candidates - £10,000 awards 
• Part-time candidates will be considered; successful part-time awards will be distributed evenly across both years of study (eg, £2,500 each year for a Home candidate).

Step 2: Navigate to 'Application Guidelines' and download the application form. (Note - Candidates have to apply for the MA program in the department before applying for the scholarship.)
Step 3: Submit the application form to Judith McAllister through email at - paispgadmissions@warwick.ac.uk no later than 22 April 2022.

• A case for support demonstrating why the applicant fits the specified criteria as well as reflecting the motivations for choosing to do a postgraduate degree in the specialisation (not more than 600 words)
• Statement of purpose (Note - It should differ from the statement of purpose submitted with the application to the university.)

The candidates will be selected based on the following criteria -

• Outstanding academic performance (70%)
• The outstanding case for support (30%)

Note - This is not a need-based scholarship, so the financial situation will not be taken into account.

Application Deadline - 22nd April 2022

• If the applicants have not received the results of the application within seven weeks of the closing date, they can assume the application was not successful.
• The primary factor determining an application's success is the strength of the case for support.
