Scotland Saltire Scholarships (SSS) 2022

Scotland Saltire Scholarships (SSS) 2022 is an initiative by the Scottish Government and various Scottish universities and colleges for postgraduate degree applicants in the areas of technology, science, creative industries, medical and healthcare sciences, and clean and renewable energy. It is an incredible opportunity for applicants to study in a foreign country with globally acclaimed universities. The scholars have the opportunity to win up to GBP 8,000 as a scholarship grant in favour of the tuition fee.

The scholarship is being provided by the Scottish Government and various Scottish universities. 

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

• Be a citizen of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan or China (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China)
• Have an unconditional or conditional offer of a place at any Scottish university on an eligible course
• Be applying for a full-time postgraduate level course in any of the subjects below-mentioned: 
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Creative industries
  • Healthcare and medical sciences
  • Renewable and clean energy
  • Should be a full-time student and be delivered in Scotland
• Meet the language requirements of the course

Note: The students pursuing studies at any Scottish University campus through online or distance learning are not eligible for the scholarship. 

A total of up to 50 scholars will be selected under this scholarship programme. They will receive a scholarship grant of GBP 8,000 each in favor of the tuition fee of the course applied for. 

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 3: Fill in the required details, attach the required details, and submit the application form. 

An applicant must demonstrate the following skills to have a successful application -

• An interest in studying in Scotland and/or at a specific Scottish university.
• An aspiration to work and receive an education in a global context and take a position of leadership in their chosen career path. 
• The will and the necessary interpersonal and communication skills are required to be a participant in the programme of activities that accompany the scholarships.

Application Deadline - 31st May 2022

• Saltire Scholarship candidates must have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course.
• The candidates must not have previously studied in Scotland.
• The candidates must not have previously received a Saltire Scholarship.
