SeekVisa International along with Curtin University is offering SeekVisa Migration Agents and Immigration Lawyers Scholarship 2019 to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Each year students are invited to explore issues related to immigration. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship worth AUD 4000 and other benefits.
Who is offering this scholarship ?
SeekVisa International along with Curtin University is offering this scholarship.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?
The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses in Australia. Students can pursue the following courses:
- Certificate 3 and 4, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses
- Undergraduate
- Postgraduate (Coursework or Research)
- Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma courses
Note: Students who have previously applied for this scholarship and have not been selected are encouraged to apply in the future application process.
What are the benefits ?
The winner will be awarded:
- Scholarship worth AUD 4000
- An additional grant of AUD 1000 donated to the institute/school/college/TAFE/university the student is enrolled in
How can you apply ?
Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the web page here and read instructions to apply for the scholarship.
Step 2: Fill in personal information, answer the relevant questions, and upload files related to the scholarship topic.
Step 3: Submit the application.
What are the selection criteria ?
Applicants can answer the following questions in their video/text submission:
- Does student believe legal migration is “in excess of the capacities of their cities to absorb”?
- Australia’s cities were “overcrowded” including “gridlocked traffic in the mornings” and use of services like hospitals?
- Immigration is in excess of the capacities of the cities to absorb, both culturally or in terms of infrastructure?
- Increase in population growth has come from is the more temporary migration (international students and people on extended holidays) in Australia?
- Cutting migration would improve “stagnant wages, unaffordable housing and clogged infrastructure”?
- How do students look at it from an economical, social or immigration law perspective?
- Encourage international students to move to regional centres, which could ease population growth in Sydney and Melbourne
- Split the capitals in two or three to deal with a growing population.
What are the important dates ?
- Applications open: 9 January 2019
- Applications close: 1 October 2019
- Winner will be announced: 1 November 2019
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship applicants must be enrolled or have a pending application at the Curtin University.
- The topic for the scholarship is "Do you think Australia should reduce its intake of migrants? What should be Australia’s annual immigration target? (currently capped at 190,000)".
- There is no set format. The submission could be an essay, info-graphic, video, documentary, series of interviews, or any other form that can be published online.
- SeekVisa retains exclusive rights to the content and final form of all submissions, which may be published at our discretion.
