SOAS University of London, V P Kanitkar Memorial Scholarship 2022

SOAS University of London, V P Kanitkar Memorial Scholarship 2022 is an initiative for postgraduate applicants by the SOAS University of London. The aim of this scholarship is to support a taught master's in Religious Studies with reference to Hinduism and a taught master's in Anthropology with reference to Hindu culture in South Asia. The selected students will receive tuition fees and maintenance benefits.

SOAS University of London is offering this scholarship.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be UK/EU and overseas applicants
• Possess or expect to be awarded a first-class honours degree or equivalent
• Have an offer of admission to pursue one of the full-time eligibles taught master's programs in Religious Studies with Reference to Hinduism by the scholarship application deadline*
• Meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 1 June 2022

*Note - An offer will need to have been received by the time the relevant panel meets to discuss scholarship applications.

Step 2: Navigate to the 'Scholarship Application Procedures' and click on the first link.
Step 3: Now, fill in the required details and submit the online application for admission.
Step 4: After successfully submitting the application for admission, click on the second link to complete the online scholarship form.
Step 5: Fill in the online scholarship application form and submit it by 23:59 (UK local time) on 2 May 2022.

The candidates will be assessed on academic merit by an Advisory Panel consisting of three academic members. The selection will be based on the information provided in the scholarship application and in the online application for admission. The selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statements and other relevant information.

• The students having non-UK degrees will be adjudged in the top rank by their referees and transcript.
• Most scholarships do not cover funding or even allow for Pre-sessionals.
• Successful candidates will be notified by the end of June.
• Complete application for admission can take up to 4 weeks to be considered by the Department, although this duration can vary depending on the time of year.
• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
