SOF Defence Services Academician Scholarship (DSAS) 2024-25

SOF Defence Services Academician Scholarship (DSAS) 2024-25 is an opportunity offered by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* to Class 1 to 10 students. This scholarship aims to recognise and reward the academic achievements of students from Indian Defence Services and Internal Security Services families. Selected candidates will receive a one-time cash award of ₹5,000 and a certificate.

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* is an educational foundation established in 1998, based in New Delhi, India. It promotes science, mathematics, general knowledge, introductory computer education and English language skills among school children in India and many other countries through various Olympiads.

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is offering this opportunity.

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

• be a resident of India
• be studying in Class 1 to 10 in a recognised school/institution
• belong to a serving or retired Defence Services/Internal Security Services family

Selected candidates will receive a one-time cash award of ₹5,000 and a certificate.

Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.

Note:- The schools will send a proposal recommending students for the scholarship. The duly signed recommendation by the Head Master/Head Mistress/Principal will be sent by the school to SOF at the below-mentioned address:

Note:- The schools can download the nomination form from the official website.

• Report card of the previous year duly certified by the Principal
• A recommendation letter signed by the headmaster/principal
• Academic transcripts including marksheets and certificates

Note:- Recommendations must be submitted in the specified format with all necessary documents.

The SOF selection committee will evaluate all applications sent by the schools.

After evaluation, a final list of deserving candidates will be prepared and communicated individually to them through their respective schools.

• Each school can recommend only one student. 
• The decision of the SOF Committee is final and binding.
• A copy of the student's most recent report card, certified by the principal must be submitted with the GCSS form.
