A-STAR Graduate Scholarship, Singapore 2022 is an initiative of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-STAR) for graduate applicants. This award is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Singapore Management University (SMU). The selected students will receive a monthly stipend of USD 2,200 and other benefits.

Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A-STAR) in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore Management University (SMU) is offering this scholarship.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be a graduate with excellent academic results and a passion for research
- Have good skills in written and spoken English
- Have good reports from academic referees
Note -
- SINGA is intended primarily for international students studying for the first time in Singapore.
- Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and International students studying/who have studied in Singapore tertiary institutions are not eligible.
- A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies. These policies may be amended from time to time without notice.
What are the benefits ?
The award provides support for up to 4 years of Ph.D. studies including -
- Tuition fees
- A monthly stipend of USD 2,200 will be increased to USD 2,700 after the passing the qualifying examination
- One-time airfare grant of up to USD 1,500
- One-time settling-in allowance of USD 1,000

Step 4: After successful registration, log in using valid credentials.
Step 5: Fill in the application form, upload the relevant documents and submit the form.
What are the documents required for the The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2022?
- Valid passport
- A recent passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
- Transcripts & Reports (Note - All transcripts need to be in English translation)
Mandatory-
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts.
- Bachelor’s Degree certificate(s) / scroll(s) or a letter of certification from the university on the candidature if the degree certificate/scroll has not yet been conferred.
- 2 recommendation reports (to be completed and submitted online by the referees).
- Applicants applying to NUS supervisors/projects are required to submit their GRE scores in the SINGA application form. (Note - For all other applicants, they are requested by the university to submit satisfactory GRE scores as part of the university admission requirement.)
- The submission of IELTS/TOEFL/SAT I & II/GATE results (Optional)
What are the selection criteria ?
The selection criteria for SINGA include the applicant's academic record, publications, recommendations from academic referees, personal achievements, passion and ability to excel in research, and an interview if shortlisted.

Terms and Conditions
- Do not mail any hard copy documents to SINGA Office. All necessary documents are to be submitted online.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 12 weeks from the application closing date.
- Please do not mail any hard copy documents to the SINGA Office.
- Please submit the applications as early as possible.
- Please ensure that the information provided during account registration in the application portal is accurate, as the information will be used for verification upon the applicant's first log-in.
- Please submit the applications as early as possible. This will provide ample time for the referees to submit their online recommendation reports before the application deadline, as only applications with 2 recommendation reports will be processed.
- Please check and ensure that all data provided in the online application form is correct and accurate before submission. Amendments to the application will not be possible after it is submitted.
