    University of Birmingham India Chancellor's Scholarships 2025-26 is an opportunity offered by the University of Birmingham to Indian students who have applied for a postgraduate course at the university starting in September 2025. A total of 15 selected candidates will be awarded £6,000 (approximately ₹6,50,772) towards tuition fees.

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • be a citizen of India
    • have received an offer for a full-time postgraduate programme at the University of Birmingham
    • meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme
    • be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes
    • be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered under the scholarship

    Note:- This scholarship programme is exclusively available for taught master's programmes, excluding the following undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees:

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
    • Master of Engineering
    • Master in Science
    • Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)
    • Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.)
    • Master of Research (MRes)
    • Master of Music (MM or MMus)
    • Master of Letters (M.Litt)
    • Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) 
    • Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)

    What are the benefits ?

    A total of 15 selected candidates will be awarded £6,000 (approximately ₹6,50,722) towards tuition fees.

    Step 3: Read the details carefully.
    Step 4: Apply for the full-time postgraduate programme at the University of Birmingham.
    Step 5: Once the student receives a formal offer letter, a link to apply for the scholarship will be shared shortly.

    Note:- 

    • The candidates are required to pay a deposit amount of £2,000 by the deadline stated in the offer letter they have received from the Admissions Office.
    • The recipient of the full scholarship can request a refund of their deposit payment after enrolment.

    Terms and Conditions

    • Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, along with any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
    • Students must pay their tuition fees for the first year by November 1st, 2025, just after starting their studies in September.
    • University scholarships are subject to continue upon enrollment in the academic program. Recipients withdrawing from their studies will forfeit the scholarship and will be liable to pay any outstanding tuition fees. The amount owed depends on the withdrawal date and program type, as determined by Taught Student Administration.
    • Scholarship recipients deferring their program start date to September 2026 will forfeit eligibility for the University of Birmingham India Chancellor's Scholarships, as the award is strictly reserved for programs commencing in September 2025.
    • The University of Birmingham India Chancellor's Scholarships are not available for students enrolled in postgraduate programs delivered solely through distance learning.
    • Upon receiving the scholarship, awardees hold a responsibility to contribute to the University's advancement. This may involve sharing their story through profiles and testimonials, and serving as ambassadors for the University when requested. Their contributions will ideally span a reasonable timeframe within the bounds of practicality.
