TIFR Visiting Students Research Programme (VSRP) 2022

TIFR Visiting Students Research Programme (VSRP) 2022 is an initiative by the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics for students enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme. The VSRP-2022 will consist of a research project on astronomy and astrophysics, either theoretical, observational or computational, depending on project availability and student preferences. The selected students will receive a stipend of INR 7,000 per month.

National Centre for Radio Astrophysics and National Centre for Radio Astrophysics is organizing this research program.

To be eligible, an applicant must be- 

• An academically outstanding and highly motivated student with an interest in physics and astronomy
• Completing M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc. or 4-year-B.Sc. degrees (in Physics, Astronomy, Applied Mathematics or Electronics) or B.Tech./B.E. degrees (in any stream) in 2023

The selected students will receive a stipend of INR 7,000 per month.

Note - The hostel accommodation at the NCRA-TIFR campus during the programme will be provided subject to availability.

The selection is purely based on the academic performance of the student, submitted write-up and referee reports. There is no selection test/interview.

• The candidates will be paid 1.33 times the second-class return railway fare between the place of their residence or education and Pune.
