    What is UNIL Master's Grants 2022-23?

    UNIL Master's Grants 2022-23 is an initiative for graduate students who want to pursue a master’s degree at the University. The scholarship aims to support meritorious students who have graduated with high scores from foreign universities. Around 10 selected students will be awarded CHF 1,600 per month for a period of 10 months within a year.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must:

    • Hold a bachelor degree from a foreign university equivalent to a bachelor at UNIL
    • Have outstanding academic results during previous studies before applying for a Master’s degree at UNIL
    • Have a language level of at least B2 (according to the European Language Portfolio global scale) in French and at least C1 in English according to the language in which the chosen course program will be taught
    • Be seeking fresh admission at UNIL 
    • Have paid the administration fee of CHF 200.00

    What are the benefits ?

    Around 10 selected students will be awarded CHF 1,600 per month for a period of 10 months within a year for the complete duration of the master's course.

    What are the documents required for the UNIL Master's Grants 2022-23?

    • A passport size photograph
    • Copy of secondary school diploma
    • A copy of the bachelor’s certificate and all the grade transcripts
    • A copy of the bachelor’s program description of the last semester (if the degree has not been offered by the university at the time of application)
    • Updated CV
    • Cover letter
    • Two original letters of recommendation from university lecturers in sealed envelopes
    • A copy of the language certificate in which the master’s course will be taught (IELTS or TOEFL for English and DELF or DALF for French
    • A copy of passport or identity card
    • Payment proof of CHF 200.00 administrative fee

    What are the selection criteria ?

    The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their academic merit.

    Terms and Conditions

    • Withdrawal from the course program will result in the suspension of the scholarship.
    • The application form must be completed on a computer and duly signed by the candidate.
    • The selected students will be exempt from the fixed registration fees for the courses except for CHF 80.00 fees that have to be paid each semester.
