University of Derby GREAT Scholarships 2025-26

University of Derby GREAT Scholarships 2025-26 is an opportunity offered by the University of Derby in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. Under this programme, students from India will receive financial support of GBP 10,000 (each student) for one year of postgraduate study in the UK.

The University of Derby in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign is offering this scholarship.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a passport-holding Indian citizen
• hold an offer from the University of Derby to pursue a postgraduate program
• have an outstanding academic background or relevant work experience
• be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes*
• meet the English language requirement of the University of Derby

*Note:-

• The eligible courses for this scholarship are Big Data Analytics MSc, Cyber Security MSc, and Information Technology MSc.
• The students must pay the full international tuition fees for their chosen postgraduate course. This scholarship aims to partially offset this cost; however, applicants will still be responsible for covering the remaining fees.

A selected Indian student will receive financial support of GBP 10,000 for one year of study to pursue selected postgraduate programs in the UK.

Students awarded a GREAT scholarship are not eligible to receive any other scholarships or discounts from the University of Derby.

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:-

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note:- If already registered, log in using the registered email ID).
Step 3: Read the details carefully and fill the application form.
Step 4: Tick the checkbox of terms & conditions, and click on the 'Submit' button.

• An essay of 500 words on the given topic they have studied, including why they found it interesting and how it has inspired them to apply for the course

The selected students might need to produce the following documents upon selection for the scholarship:-

• A valid offer letter from the university
• Copy of Passport
• Copy of Visa 
• Academic transcripts, including marksheets and certificates
• Disability certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of the payment slip of the application fee
• English language test certificate

The candidate will be selected based on the information provided in the application form and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to attend a video interview with the selection committee.

• Applicants should be interested in attending networking events of all UK-based GREAT scholars, and discuss experiences or capture perceptions of studying in the UK.
• A student must be willing to demonstrate future contributions to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from UK higher education.
