    What is UQ International High Achievers Award - India 2024?

    UQ International High Achievers Award - India 2024 is an opportunity offered by the University of Queensland, Australia, for students who are enrolled in UG and PG courses. The scholarship aims to assist with tuition fees for international students from India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Latin America, commencing a relevant degree program at the university. The selected students will receive a tuition fee reduction of 20% per annum for the enrolled coursework program.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • be an international student from countries including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, or Latin America 
    • hold a valid passport
    • have received an offer to undertake studies at the University of Queensland on a full-time basis in a relevant UG or PG program, commencing in 2024 
    • have relevant program entry rank
    • fulfill the English language proficiency requirements

     

    Note:-

    • Students must not be receiving any other scholarship/tuition fee reduction or rebate from the University of Queensland.
    • Students must not be receiving a full scholarship/sponsorship from another organisation.
    • Applicants with partial scholarships/sponsorships will be considered at the University’s discretion.

    What are the benefits ?

    The selected students will receive a tuition fee reduction of 20% per annum for the duration of the enrolled coursework program.

    Note:- The award will cover only up to the approved credit points on offer.

    Step 3: Search for the course to be applied, fill in the necessary details, and upload the required documents.
    Step 4: Submit the application form.
    Step 5: After the successful submission of the application, the candidates will be automatically considered for this scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria. 

    What are the documents required for the UQ International High Achievers Award - India 2024?

    • English language test results, such as IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT (inc. Paper Edition), PTE Academic, CES, BE
    • Previous degree or professional experience (if applicable)
    • Minimum grade point average (GPA)

    What are the selection criteria ?

    The selection of the scholarship is based on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

    Students will be notified by email about the award, including a due date by which they must meet any outstanding conditions and accept their program offer.

    Note:- Students who have received a conditional offer for a UQ program must fulfill all outstanding conditions attached to their offer to secure the UQ International High Achievers Award.

    Terms and Conditions

    Conditions to avail the award:

    • A student must accept their UQ program offer and pay their tuition to confirm their award.
    • A student with a conditional UQ program offer must satisfy any outstanding conditions of their UQ offer.
    • The award is offered for the program and commencement semester specified in the program offer letter.
      • If a student defers their commencement of study to a future semester, they may no longer be eligible for the award. If applicable, the student’s eligibility will be re-evaluated for the new commencement semester.
      • If a student changes their program from that on their award offer, they may no longer be eligible for the scholarship. The student’s eligibility for the award in the new program will be determined by the list of excluded programs.
    • Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester.
    • Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment in a relevant program. 

    Conditions for Termination of Award: 

    • The University will terminate the award if the recipient:
      • does not enroll in a relevant program in the proposed semester of commencement
      • commits serious misconduct
      • fails to maintain satisfactory academic standing
      • does not maintain enrolment for two semesters
      • otherwise becomes ineligible concerning eligibility criteria
