Barbara Finlayson Scholarship, New Zealand 2020

The Victoria University Wellington is offering Barbara Finlayson Scholarship, New Zealand 2020 to violin, viola and violoncello students studying in New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) at any level. The selected students will get awards worth NZD 14,000 for one year.

Students studying violin, viola or violoncello in New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) at any level are eligible for this scholarship.

The selected candidate will get funds for postgraduate study, travel, accommodation and other expenses worth up to NZD 14,000 for one year.

Step 3: Log in to the portal and fill in the scholarship application form.
Step 4: Submit the application.

Following documents are required to be submitted: 

• A personal statement outlining reasons for applying for the scholarship
• A study plan and a detailed budget covering expenses
• A reference from an academic or supervisor (to be requested via the online application)

Application closing date: 1st October 2020

• All offers of the scholarship will be conditional upon the recipient being fully enrolled in a full-year programme 
• The scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
• Recipients must write a letter of thanks to the donor of this scholarship.
