The University of Ottawa invites applications for Chancellor's Scholarship for International Students 2021 from commencing undergraduate students of the university. This scholarship aims to recognize the outstanding newly admitted students. The selected student will receive CAD 6,500 per year.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be an international citizen
- Be a full-time undergraduate student
- Hold a student visa
- Have obtained a minimum admission average of 92% or equivalent
- Demonstrate leadership quality and commitment to extracurricular and academic activities
What are the benefits ?
- CAD 6,500 per year for up to 3 years for the undergraduate course program
- One-time award of CAD 1,500 to the applicants in the second, third and fourth place

Step 1: Visit the link and login through the Student portal. (Note: The applicants need to primarily apply to an undergraduate degree programme at University of Ottawa to access the scholarship application form.)
Step 2: Fill in the details and submit the application.
What are the selection criteria ?
Selection is based on the academic merit, extracurricular activities record and the leadership potential of the candidates.
What are the important dates ?
Application deadline: 30th April 2021
Terms and Conditions
- This scholarship can be renewed for the next three years if the selected student fulfils the eligibility condition to renew the scholarship for the next year
- The scholarship recipient must achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.5 or higher in the previous year exam for scholarship renewal.
- Temporary interruption of studies, part-time registration or special student case will lead to revocation of the scholarship for the rest of the recipient’s studies.
- Selected students can renew the scholarship at 50% of its annual value if the student has a CGPA between 8.0 and 8.4 at the end of the academic year. Again, the scholarship can be renewed for the full amount in a subsequent year if the recipient’s CGPA increases to 8.5 or higher.
