Dr Gita Piramal Graduate Scholarship 2025 is an opportunity offered by Somerville College, Oxford University to graduate students from India pursuing a master's in sustainability science and development degree courses. Somerville College is offering this opportunity in collaboration with Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development (OICSD).

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a citizen of India, currently residing in the country
• have applied for one of the following full-time courses:
  • M.Sc. in Biodiversity, Conservation and Nature Recovery
  • M.Sc. in Economics for Development
  • M.Sc. in Education (Child Development and Education)
  • M.Sc. in Education (Comparative and International Education)
  • M.Sc. in Education (Digital and Social Change)
  • M.Sc. in Energy Systems
  • M.Sc. in Environmental Change and Management
  • M.Sc. in Global Governance and Diplomacy
  • M.Sc. in Global Health Science and Epidemiology
  • M.Sc. in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance
  • M.Sc. in Water Science, Policy and Management

Selected candidates will receive course fees for the selected course. Additionally, they will receive a grant for living expenses and travelling allowances.

Note:- The deadline for the scholarship varies according to the deadline to apply for the respective courses.

Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, the relevance of their studies to the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development, their understanding of India's development challenges, and their leadership potential, with financial need also considered.

Successful candidates will be transferred to Somerville College to receive the scholarship after shortlisting and interviews. Candidates meeting residency criteria and applying for eligible courses will receive emails inviting them to confirm their interest in the scholarship and provide details about their financial circumstances.

Note:- Eligible candidates who apply for graduate study by the funding deadline will be considered for scholarships, regardless of college preference.
