The Durham Inspiring Excellence Scholarship 2025 is an esteemed opportunity from Durham University. It is designed to support students who have shown academic success in their previous session and are planning to pursue a Master's at the university. Selected students will receive GBP 10,000 per year as a waiver on their tuition fee.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be an international student
• hold an offer in any 7 of the postgraduate taught programmes at the university mentioned below
• meet or exceed the entry requirements for the chosen course
• be a self-funded student and not receive any other scholarships or sponsorship from any other source

Eligible courses to apply:

• MSc Advanced Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) 
• MSc Advanced Computer Science 
• MSc Law and Finance
• MSc Public Policy
• MSc Biotechnology 
• MSc Islamic Finance 
• MSc International Business

Note: The duration of the mentioned courses is one year.

The selected candidates will receive GBP 10,000 as financial support for their tuition fees for the course they have chosen.

The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee waiver directly to the
master’s programme tuition fees at the time of enrolment at Durham University.

A panel of key members of staff will select the most suitable applications. In addition to the application form responses, nationality diversity and balance across programmes will also be considered in the selection.

Question: Can the scholarship be transferred or deferred?
Answer: No, the scholarship is non-transferable and non-deferrable, with no cash alternative.

Question: What happens if a scholar withdraws from their commitments or studies?
Answer: All future scholarship discounts will be cancelled.

Question: Will students recieve emails notification for both selection and non selection?
Answer: Scholarship awards are discretionary and final. Due to the volume of applications for this award, Durham University is unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants. 

Question: Can I change my postgraduate course after being awarded the scholarship?
Answer: No, the scholarship is specific to the programme for which you were selected.

Question: Can the scholarship be used for living expenses?
Answer: No, it is strictly a tuition fee discount and does not cover additional costs like accommodation or travel.

• Scholarships are non-transferable, non-deferrable, and have no cash alternative, with tuition fees adjusted automatically upon enrolment.
• Recipients must engage in Scholarship Commitments, including marketing, testimonials, and events.
• Scholarship discounts will be cancelled if a scholar withdraws or suspends studies or commitments, except in exceptional cases, subject to approval.
