Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2026-27

The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2026-27 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brunei Darussalam to students having applied for a UG and PG degree programmes. This scholarship aims to support the education of students who have applied for relevant courses at one of the listed institutions. The selected candidates shall receive full tuition fee, monthly personal allowance, and other benefits.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brunei Darussalam is offering this opportunity. 

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• not exceed the age of 25 years (for UG and Diploma courses)
• not exceed the age of 35 years (for PG Master’s degree courses)
• demonstrate English language proficiency with the help of the following:
  • Credit 6 at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or
  • Grade ‘C” in IGCSE English (as a second language) or
  • TOEFL minimum score of 550 or
  • IELTS score of 6.0

The selected candidates shall receive:

• Full exemption from payment of tuition fees, including acceptance, examination, registration, and orientation fees, for the entire duration of the programme.
• A return economy class air ticket: one to Brunei Darussalam from the candidate’s country of origin or domicile prior to the commencement of the course, and another upon completion of the programme to the candidate’s home country or domicile.
• A monthly personal allowance of BND$500.00
• A monthly meals allowance of BND$150.00
• An annual book allowance of BND$600.00
• Accommodation at the residential college of the respective University or Polytechnic.
• A baggage allowance for the shipment of personal effects upon completion of the programme, up to:
  • BND$250.00 for countries within the ASEAN region; or
  • BND$500.00 for countries outside the ASEAN region.
• Comprehensive insurance coverage for the entire duration of the scholarship. Recipients are, however, encouraged to obtain additional insurance at their own expense prior to travelling to Brunei Darussalam and for the full period of their stay.

Step 6: Arrange the documents listed under BDGS Documents Checklist. Tick all the check boxes and click on ‘Proceed to Application’ 
Step 7: Enter all the mentioned details carefully and upload the necessary documents to complete your application.

• Academic Qualification Certificates including transcripts, other achievements certificates copy and proof of employment
