Honjo International Scholarship, Japan 2026, is offered by the Honjo International Scholarship Foundation, Japan. The scholarship aims to support outstanding international students enrolled in Japanese graduate schools, providing them with financial assistance to focus on their academic and research pursuits. Selected students will receive an award of up to JPY 1,80,000 (approx. ₹1,07,840) per month during the scholarship period.

The Honjo International Scholarship Foundation, Japan, is offering this opportunity.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be an International Student
• be enrolled in a Japanese graduate school by April 2026 or apply for a course starting in April 2025. Those entering in April or fall 2026, whether currently enrolled, not yet enrolled, or employed, are eligible
• enrolment duration until graduation must be longer than 12 months
• have a deep understanding of international friendship and goodwill
• be able to carry out a basic conversation in Japanese

Note:-

• Research students, auditing students, and those enrolled in correspondence/distance courses are not eligible.
• The Students applying for the PhD program must begin the course before the age of 35
• The student applying for the master’s program must start the master’s course by the age of 30.

The selected students will receive JPY 1,80,000 (approx. ₹1,07,840)  per month as a living allowance for the scholarship duration of 1 year.

• The scholarship recipient is not permitted to receive any other scholarships in conjunction with the scholarship offered by our Foundation, except for the scholarships listed below:
  • Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship 
  • Monbukagakusho Honours Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students 
  • JSPS International Fellowship
