The Houghton Library Visiting Fellowships 2026 are offered by Harvard University's Houghton Library to PhD/postdoctoral students, scholars, curators, cultural heritage professionals. To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be of any nationality
• be at least 18 years of age 
• be a doctoral student, post-doctoral scholar, academic, independent scholar, curator, or library/archive/museum professional
• not have received a Houghton fellowship within the past 5 years (if previously awarded)
   

The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of $4,500 during the tenure of their appointment.
(Note:- Fellowships are not awarded to scholars residing within commuting distance of Houghton Library.)
