The International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship 2025 is an initiative by the University of Sheffield for international students to complete their postgraduate studies. This scheme is an excellent opportunity for high-achieving students who want to make a global academic impact without bearing the full financial burden. The selected students will receive a grant worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee of the postgraduate taught program for the session in September 2025.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a graduate
- be enrolled in a postgraduate taught course at the University of Sheffield
- be a non-EU international student
- have an offer letter for a postgraduate degree at the University
- not be sponsored by anyone
- be a self-funded student
Non-Eligibility
- Students enrolled in distance learning courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Scholarships do not apply to Crossways and Erasmus Mundus courses.
Note:- The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provision.
What are the benefits ?
A total of 75 scholars will be selected who will recieve award worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.
How can you apply ?
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Enrol for the course you want to register for at the university from eVision, the university's student portal
Step 4: Complete the scholarship application.
Step 5: Submit your application
Note:- It may take up to 24 hours to be able to access the form after you have received your offer.

Terms and Conditions
The scholarship is not applicable to any postgraduate courses where the higher clinical fee is applicable, this includes, but is not exclusive to the following courses:
- DClinDent Orthodontics
- MClinDent in Orthodontics
- DClinDent Endodontics
- MClinDent in Paediatric Dentistry
- DClinDent Periodontics
- MMedSci in Diagnostic Oral Pathology
- DClinDent Prosthodontics
Terms and Conditions:
- The student's program shall commence at the University of Sheffield from September 2025.
- Students in Masters/integrated PhD programs are eligible for merit scholarships only during the Masters phase.
- If you are studying a 2-year masters programme the scholarship will be available in the second year of your studies subject to successful completion of year 1, and all remaining eligibility and award criteria.
- If the applicants are selected for a merit scholarship and fail to meet the conditions of their offer, they will no longer be eligible to receive the award.
- If an applicant changes his/her Masters' program during the studies, his/her merit scholarship may be forfeited.
- The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provision.
