LPI Summer Internship, United States 2026

The LPI Summer Internship Program 2025 is offered by the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI). This prestigious internship provides undergraduate students the opportunity to work with leading planetary scientists and gain hands-on research experience in areas such as planetary geology, geophysics, geochemistry, astronomy, and astrobiology. The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI), operated by the Universities Space Research Association (USRA), is offering this internship.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in physical or natural sciences
• have completed at least 50 semester hours of college credit by the start of the internship
• hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• be a U.S. citizen or an international student who meets visa eligibility requirements
• have  a strong interest in planetary science and research
