McDonald Fellowships 2026

The McDonald Fellowships 2026 is an opportunity offered by the MS International Federation (MSIF) to students pursuing postgraduate research in areas relevant to multiple sclerosis. The selected fellows will receive a two year grant of EUR 55,000 (₹56,99,540) per year. It also covers one return flight to the host country.

The MS International Federation (MSIF) is offering this opportunity.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be postgraduate level students (at least M.Sc., preferably PhD/MD) in an area relevant to multiple sclerosis.
• be citizens of a low or middle-income country including India as defined by the World Bank.
• focus their research directly relevant to multiple sclerosis.
• be working or pursuing studies in a low or middle-income country (as defined by the World Bank), or
• be pursuing studies abroad or working on a project that began within six months before the application date.

(Note: Students who have previously received an MSIF Du Pré Grant are eligible to apply for the McDonald Fellowship.)

The selected candidates will receive a two year grant of EUR 55,000 (₹56,99,540) per year, disbursed to the host institution that will be used to pay the fellow. It also includes one return flight to the host country.
