MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 2025

MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 is an initiative of MPOWER Financing (A fintech providing student loans for international students, U.S. citizens, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students) to recognise the potential of women in science. Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to USD 5,000.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be at least 18 years of age
• be a female
• be enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at one of MPOWER’s partner universities for the remainder of the undergraduate study and/or for a graduate degree program
• be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada

Note:-

• For study in the U.S., the applicant must have a valid visa that permits their study, or be protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
• For study in Canada, the applicant must have a Canadian study permit.

Selected candidates will receive an award of:-

• Grand Prize: USD 5,000
• First Runner-Up: USD 2,000
• Second Runner-Up: USD 1,000

Note:-

• Winners will be notified by telephone, email, and/or regular mail using the contact information provided at the time of application.
• The prize will be disbursed to the winner's institute.

• A duly filled application form
• A copy of transcripts/admission letter
• Proof of citizenship, gender and immigration status (i.e., passport and visa) 
• Two brief essays

Candidates will be selected based on:-

• Quality of the written essays,
• Record of academic and (if applicable) professional distinction,
• Potential to make significant contributions in a STEM field that will benefit people and/or the planet,
• Track record and/or potential as a role model and advocate for women and girls in STEM.
