    What is NCW Young Research Fellowship 2026?

    NCW Young Research Fellowship 2026 is offered by the National Commission for Women. This fellowship is a prestigious research grant designed to support young scholars conducting research on women's issues in India. Selected candidates will receive a ₹1,00,000 research grant over 6 months to complete their research study.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    • be an Indian citizen
    • be between 21 and 30 years of age at the time of application

    • be enrolled in or have completed a master's, M.Phil., or Ph.D. program in a relevant field

    Note:

    • Preference will be given to applicants who have completed or are pursuing post-graduation in a relevant field.
    • Independent researchers who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised academic or research institution may also apply.

    What are the benefits ?

    Selected fellows will receive a research grant of ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only) disbursed in three phases based on deliverables:

    • First Instalment: ₹30,000
    • Second Instalment: ₹40,000
    • Final Instalment: ₹30,000
