The University of Otago is offering Otago Council Inc Scholarship 2019 to students who wish to pursue a Research Master's Degree. The students must undergo research and data collection in the Otago region in the following fields: agriculture, pastoral, forestry, fishing, transport, communications, mining, energy, construction, scientific development and natural resources. The selected candidates can avail a scholarship worth NZD 3000.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be an International or Domestic student
- Be applying for his/her first Master's degree qualification
- Be undertaking research and data collection in the Otago region in the following fields:
- Agriculture
- Pastoral
- Forestry
- Fishing
- Transport
- Communications
- Mining
- Energy
- Construction
- Scientific development
- Natural resources
What are the benefits ?
The scholarship recipients will be awarded a one-off payment of NZD 3000.
Note: The scholarship amount is subject to the availability of funds.
How can you apply ?
Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the web page here and read instructions.
Step 2: Scholarship applications are made online through the eVision portal after applying for admission to a programme.
Step 3: Log in the eVision portal after registering as a new user to access the application form.
Step 4: Fill in the form with the required details and submit the application.
What are the important dates ?
The scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year.
Terms and Conditions
- The students will receive funding from the Otago Council Inc Trust.
- Master's Scholarships are currently available in each Division for candidates planning to start within the time frames.
- Applicants are required to have good grades to get successful with their applications.
- Students can apply for these scholarships in any of the following streams:
- School of Business
- Health Sciences
- Humanities
- Science
