SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2024-25

SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2024-25 is an opportunity provided by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)* for students of Class 3 to 10. The olympiad is being organised to give students a platform to showcase their talent and skills in Hindi subject. The selected students will stand a chance to receive up to ₹50,000 and other benefits.

*SOF is an educational organisation established to promote Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, General Knowledge and professional courses.

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is offering this opportunity.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be an Indian national
• be studying in Class 3 to 10 in a recognised institution/school

The selected candidates will receive awards in the following ways:- 

International level awards: 

• A total of 8 first-rank holders will receive ₹50,000 each, an international gold medal, and a certificate of excellent performance.
• A total of 8 second-rank holders will receive ₹25,000 each, an international silver medal, and a certificate of excellent performance.
• A total of 8 third-rank holders will receive ₹10,000 each, an international bronze medal, and a certificate of excellent performance.

Zonal Level Awards:

• A total of 208 first-rank holders will receive ₹5,000 each, a zonal gold medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• A total of 208 second-rank holders will receive ₹2,500 each, a regional silver medal, and a certificate of regional excellence.
• A total of 208 third-rank holders will receive ₹1,000 each, a zonal bronze medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• A total of 1,456 awards comprising gifts worth ₹500 each and a distinction medal and certificate will be given to students who will rank from 4th to 10th.
• A total of 3,120 awards, comprising a distinction medal and certificate, will be given to students who rank 11th to 25th.
• All the participants ranking above 26 will receive participation certificates and student performance reports.

The eligible candidates can apply for the olympiad by using the steps below:- 

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.)
Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.

Note:- The prospectus containing the registration forms will be sent to all schools registered with SOF. The schools that have not registered can also request for prospectus by sending an email to - 'info@sofworld.org' or by calling - (0124)-4951200. The schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date at the address below:

• A recommendation letter signed by the headmaster/principal
• Academic transcripts including marksheets and certificates

The winners will be selected based on marks and performance in the Olympiad.

• The Olympiad will be conducted in Hindi.
• Schools do not need to pay a registration fee to become an examination center. 
• The Olympiad will be held during school hours. 
• Individual student registrations are not accepted.  
• The Olympiad syllabus is based on CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and state board curriculums.
• SOF will register participating schools and students based on the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS) submitted by the school.
• Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal are required to pay a registration fee of ₹125*(including GST)/US$9 for other countries, per student/olympiad towards the cost of the examination.
• Schools may charge an additional  ₹25/US$1 for other countries per student towards the honorarium of incharge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses.
• Students with major physical disabilities and children of Indian defense martyrs are exempt from registration fees.
