    What is SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2025-26?

    SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2025-26 is an opportunity provided by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for students of Class 3 to 10. The olympiad is being organised to give students a platform to showcase their talent and skills in the Hindi subject. The selected students will stand a chance to receive up to ₹50,000 and other benefits.

    The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is offering this opportunity.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • be an Indian national
    • be studying in Class 3 to 10 in a recognised institution/school

    What are the benefits ?

    The Olympiad topper awards at the international and zonal levels will be given to winners of the 2nd level. For students of Classes 1 and 2, the international and zonal level awards will be provided to the 1st-level winners. The award comprises a participation certificate for each student. and a merit certificate for 2nd-level participants.

    International Level - 

    • An award of ₹50,000 each, a gold medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance to the first-rank holder. 
    • An award of ₹25,000 each, a silver medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance to the second-rank holder. 
    • An award of ₹10,000 each, a bronze medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance to the third-rank holder.

    Note:- In case two or more students achieve the same international rank, the cash award in the applicable category will be distributed as under:

    • For up to 10 students getting the same rank, the award amount will be distributed equally. Each winner will be awarded a medal (in the applicable category) and a certificate.
    • In case 11 or more students get the same rank, regarding the cash award, each winner will be awarded gifts worth ₹1,000 each, a medal (in the applicable category) and a certificate.

    Zonal Level:- 

    • An award of ₹5,000 each, a zonal gold medal and a certificate of zonal excellence to the first-rank holder.
    • An award of ₹2,500 each, a zonal silver medal and a certificate of zonal excellence for the second-rank holder.
    • An award of ₹1,000 each, a zonal bronze medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence for the third-rank holder.
    • Gifts worth ₹500 each, and a certificate of zonal excellence for the 4th to 10th rank holders.
    • Certificates of zonal excellence for 11th to 25th rank holders.
    • All rank holders from 26th and above will receive a merit certificate.
    • Awards of medals of distinction and certificates of distinction, along with student performance reports, will be given to the top 25 rank holders of level one at the zonal level. 
    • At level 1, all rank holders at 26th rank and above will receive a participation certificate and a student performance report.

    Note:- In case two or more students achieve the same zonal rank, the cash award in the applicable category will be distributed as follows:

    • For up to 5 students getting the same rank, the award amount will be distributed equally. Each winner will be awarded a medal and a certificate in the applicable category.
    • In case 6 or more students get the same rank, regarding the cash award, each winner will be awarded gifts worth ₹1,000 each, a medal in the applicable category and a certificate.
    • For single-level exams and 2-level exams, a medal of distinction and a certificate of distinction are awarded for 1st-level performance. Zonal medals and certificates of zonal excellence will be awarded to the 2nd-level performance.

    Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.

    Note:- The prospectus containing the registration forms will be sent to all schools registered with SOF. The schools that have not registered can also request for prospectus by sending an email to 'info@sofworld.org' or by calling (0124)-4951200. The schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects, by the due date at the address below:

    What are the documents required for the SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2025-26?

    • A recommendation letter signed by the headmaster/principal
    • Academic transcripts, including marksheets and certificates

    The winners will be selected based on marks and performance in the Olympiad.

    Answer:
    This is an Olympiad held as a platform for students to showcase their talents. There are specific awards for the top performers; however, no scholarship/allowance is provided.

    Question: What is the highest zonal level award provided to the winners of this Olympiad?
    Answer:
    The highest zonal level award consists of ₹5,000,  a zonal gold medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence for the top performers.

     

    Question: Will the students have to travel to an examination centre?
    Answer:
    The Olympiad will be held at any school at their own convenience. The students need not travel to a separate examination centre.

    Terms and Conditions

    • The Olympiad will be conducted in Hindi.
    • Schools do not need to pay a registration fee to become an examination center. 
    • The Olympiad will be held during school hours. 
    • Individual student registrations are not accepted.  
    • The Olympiad syllabus is based on CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and state board curriculum.
    • SOF will register participating schools and students based on the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS) submitted by the school.
    • Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal are required to pay a registration fee of ₹125(including GST)/USD 11 for other countries, per student/olympiad towards the cost of the examination.
    • Schools may charge an additional  ₹25/USD 1 for other countries per student towards the honorarium of the in-charge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses.
    • Students with major physical disabilities and children of Indian defence martyrs are exempt from registration fees.
