    What is Taiwan Government Scholarship Programme 2025?

    Taiwan Government Scholarship Programme 2025 is an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan to students who are willing to pursue graduation and postgraduation level studies in Taiwan. The selected students will receive a scholarship covering tuition fees up to ₹1,00,000 per semester till the course completion and living allowances.

    Who is offering this scholarship ?

    This scholarship is being offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) Taiwan.

    Who can apply for this scholarship ?

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • be a citizen of South Asian countries (including India)
    • have completed senior secondary school (Class 12), graduation, diploma or post-secondary degree 
    • be willing to pursue graduation or postgraduation degree in Taiwan
    • have cleared the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) Level 3 
    • have an excellent academic record and good moral character

    Non-Eligibility:

    • An R.O.C. (Taiwan) national or overseas Chinese student.
    • An applicant who is continuing to maintain student status at any
    • university/college in Taiwan or who has already registered to begin studies at such a university or college. 
    • The students who have studied in Taiwan for a degree at the same level as the
    • one in which they currently intend to enrol.
    • An exchange student or dual/joint degree student who has been admitted to a
    • university/college in Taiwan. 
    • A recipient of the Taiwan Scholarship for 5 years.
    • Applicants previously had their Taiwan Scholarship or MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship revoked.
    • Applicants who have received any other scholarship or subsidy from any Taiwan Government institution (organisation) or any education institution. 

    What are the benefits ?

    The selected students will receive the following benefits:

    Categories Amount 
    Tuition Fees ₹1,00,000 per semester
    Living Allowance Up to ₹50,000 per month

    How can you apply ?

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
    Step 1:
    Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
    Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
    Step 3: Navigate to the application link Under the 'Application' section. 
    Step 4: Enter the email ID and password to Login. 
    Step 5: Fill in the required details in the application form and submit the online form. 
    Step 6: Print out the application form and send it with the documents to Taipei Representative Office in Hungary (TRO).

    What are the documents required for the Taiwan Government Scholarship Programme 2025?

    • A Completed Taiwan Scholarship Application Form (print out)
    • A copy of the applicant’s passport or other nationality certificates.
    • A copy of the highest degree and academic transcripts.  
    • Language proficiency certificate 
    • Two letters of reference, signed and in sealed envelopes
    • A copy of the Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement (signed by applicant)

    What are the selection criteria ?

    • Taipei Representative Office in Hungary will check the applications.
    • If required, TRO may schedule interviews with applicants.
    • TRO will select scholarship candidates and waitlisted candidates.
    • Selected candidates must submit a photocopy of an admission letter issued by one university/college by June 30, 2025.
    • If a candidate is not admitted into a university/college in Taiwan, they will lose the Taiwan Scholarship.
