UCL India Excellence Scholarship 2025-26

UCL India Excellence Scholarship 2025-26 is an initiative of University College London (UCL) to support the education of bachelor's degree students from India. This scholarship aims to encourage Indian students with exceptional academic record to pursue full-time master's degree studies at UCL. A total of 33 selected candidates will receive a grant of £5,000 for one year (approximately ₹5,32,765).

University College London (UCL) is offering this scholarship.

To be eligible, the applicants must:-

• be permanently domiciled in India
• hold a bachelor’s degree OR
• be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree in one of the institutions listed in the Top 100 of the Government of India’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF )
• have secured a GPA in their bachelor’s degree which is equivalent to a UK first-class degree

Note:-

• Applicants must have submitted a complete admission application (including references) for a full-time master's degree at UCL in the academic session 2025-26 by 27 February 2025 (Thursday).
• This scholarship is not available for students pursuing distance learning programs. Applicants must be willing to attend UCL in person to be eligible for the scholarship.

A total of 33 selected candidates will receive a grant of GBP 5,000 (approximately ₹5,32,765) tenable for one year.

Note:- 

• The scholarship is valid for one year only, except for two-year full-time programs. In those cases, the scholarship will be divided into two equal payments, one for each year.
• The scholarship may be received along with other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries. However, the amount of the UCL scholarship may be adjusted based on the total value of other funding received by the student.
• Scholarship recipients must inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they receive for their UCL Master's degree studies, both before and after receiving the UCL India Excellence Scholarship.
• The scholarship will first be used to pay the recipient's tuition fees. Any remaining funds will be paid to the recipient in three equal instalments throughout the academic year to cover living expenses.

Step 4: Submit a complete admission application to UCL (including the submission of references).

Note:- Applicants will be considered automatically on the basis of their application for admission to their programme of study. There is no separate application form for this scholarship.

• Applicants will be shortlisted based on their bachelor's degree GPA and their university's ranking in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
• The final selection will be made based on the information provided in the application for a full-time master's degree at UCL in 2025/26.
