University of Queensland Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships 2019

University of Queensland Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships 2019 invites applications from Indian students and students of Latin America who have completed their undergraduate degree in science and are willing to pursue a Master's course in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics programs. The key objective of the scholarship is to encourage and reward meritorious students from India to pursue postgraduate coursework programs at the University of Queensland. 

• Be enrolled in any of the postgraduate coursework at the University of Queensland given below and submitted the application to the Head -
  • Master of Biotechnology
  • Master of Molecular Biology
  • Master of Bioinformatics 
• Have obtained a GPA (or international equivalent) of at least 80% over 7 semesters of the undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of the undergraduate studies at an educational institution in India which is ranked under section 1 or 2 as per the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR)
• Be able to begin his/her studies as an international student in Australia on a student visa

• A total of up to six scholarships are given every year that cover 50% of the tuition fee of postgraduate coursework. 
• The value of the scholarship is approximately AUD 19,448 per annum. 
• The scholarship also includes indicative amenities fees and student services of AUD 38,896. 

• An expression of interest in not more than 500 words
• A supporting reference from a staff member of the institution to support the application
• Copies of all academic transcripts 

• Academic achievement in undergraduate studies
• The strength of interest demonstrated in the relevant field of postgraduate coursework study
• Personal qualities of the applicant including leadership potential

• The scholarship is applicable to full-time courses only. 
• Only the new students who are going to commence their studies at the University of Queensland are eligible for the scholarship. The students who are already studying cannot apply for this. 
• The scholarship is tenable for the standard full-time duration of the program. 
• The students are required to commence their studies in the semester specified in the offer letter. 
• The scholarship will be terminated if the student does not maintain the GPA of at least 4 in each semester.
