University of Sheffield International UG Merit Scholarship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the University of Sheffield, for international students starting their undergraduate studies at the university. A total of 75 selected candidates will receive a competitive award of £10,000 towards their tuition fees.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a citizen of India or one of the specified countries
- have received an offer for a full-time undergraduate course at the University of Sheffield
- have secured 60% marks or above (Weighted Marking Grade)
- have achieved a minimum of 120 credits in the previous academic year
- be classified as a self-funded student for tuition fee purposes
Note:-
- All undergraduate degree courses are eligible except for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- Students currently enrolled at the University of Sheffield in a non-USIC Foundation year program are also ineligible.
What are the benefits ?
A total of 75 selected candidates will receive a competitive award of £10,000 per year towards their tuition fees for the duration of their undergraduate degree, subject to maintaining a minimum average of 60%.
How can you apply ?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship using the steps listed below:-
Step 1: Click the ‘Apply Now’ button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note: If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'How to Apply' section and click on the 'Apply for an International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2024'.
Step 4: Now, click on 'I have a UoS MUSE account' to proceed with the scholarship application process.
Step 5: Login using valid credentials.
Step 6: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
What are the documents required for the University of Sheffield International UG Merit Scholarship 2024?
- A valid passport (if applicable)
- Academic transcripts including marksheets and certificates (if applicable)
- A personal statement answering the specified questions

What are the selection criteria ?
Candidates will be selected through a competitive selection process, and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior staff will select the strongest applications based on the following criteria:
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellence and initiative through achievements in their educational, voluntary, or extracurricular activities.
- Applicants should demonstrate how their achievements connect to the chosen course at the University of Sheffield and how these experiences align with their future ambitions.

Application Deadline: 22nd April 2024, 1 PM (UK time)
Note:- Scholarship winners will be announced on 15th May 2024 (Wednesday).
Terms and Conditions
- The International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2024 cannot be combined with the following scholarships offered in 2024:
- International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- NCUK Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- GEMS Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- International School of Choueifat Merit Scholarship
- DPS Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- International Undergraduate Scholarship 2024
- The merit scholarship applies to full-time undergraduate studies at the university, excluding any industrial placements or optional study-abroad semesters.
- Failure to meet the conditions of the course offer will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship award.
- If a student changes their degree program to begin a new one at level 1, they may forfeit their scholarship.
- Students who change their degree program within the same year of study (e.g., from 1-year BA English to 2-year BA English Literature and Language) may be eligible to retain their merit scholarship, subject to meeting the program's eligibility and award criteria.
- The merit scholarship is awarded for a maximum of four academic years. It does not cover industry internships or semesters abroad.
- The scholarship will be awarded as a tuition fee discount only. No cash alternative is available.
- Scholarship committee decisions are final. Applications and appeals submitted after the deadline cannot be reviewed.
- The University awards scholarships based on predicted grades in good faith. However, if a student awarded such a scholarship fails to meet their predicted grades but is still admitted to the program, the University reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship.

- Deferring entry to a future year will result in the forfeiture of this scholarship.
- The scholarship cannot be received during years spent intercalating.
- Part-time students will receive a prorated share of the scholarship value distributed for one full-time academic year.
