    The University of Sydney invites applications for University of Sydney Richard Antony Oppen Scholarship 2021 from students of music education. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to students studying music education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Selected students will get scholarship benefits as determined by the dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

    Selected students will get scholarship benefits as determined by the dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

    No application is necessary for this scholarship. Eligible students will be considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

    What are the selection criteria ?

    The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, and/or portfolio and/or performance.

    Terms and Conditions

    • To continue receipt of the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum WAM of 65 each semester.
    • Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this scholarship are required to have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment.
    • The annual payment will be made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
    • Deferral of the scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of the relevant Associate Dean and it is not transferable to another honours program, faculty/University school or University.
    • The scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
    •  Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
