To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be enrolled as an undergraduate (or equivalent) at a university in an eligible Asian country or area
- return to home institution for at least one semester to continue undergraduate studies after completing the program
- have completed at least one year of undergraduate study by June 7, 2026.
- Be pursuing an undergraduate program may be in any discipline, but must include mathematics as a subject.
- be available to attend full-time from June 7 to August 6, 2026, with no other engagements during this period.
- have good working knowledge of English, demonstrated by either:
- All undergraduate courses taught in English, or
- Acceptable scores in one of the following tests:
- TOEFL iBT: 72 or above
- IELTS: 5.5 overall band score or above
- Cambridge English FCE
- TOEIC: 1095 or above
- TOEIC L&R: 785 or above
- TOEIC S&W: 310 or above
What are the benefits ?
The selected candidates shall receive:
- A stipend of 280,000 JPY(₹1,62,169 approx.), which may be used freely for food, leisure, and local travel expenses, including short-distance transportation related to the program and travel between home, airports, and residence in Tokyo.
- Off-campus accommodation near the Hongo/Yayoi Campus.
- Economy-class airfare to Tokyo or round-trip train tickets for domestic students will be covered.
(Note:- Travel plans and the most economical route will be coordinated between participants and the program office, though reimbursement is required if personal schedule changes alter initial travel arrangements.) - Additional travel allowance for participants commuting to campuses other than Hongo and Yayoi.
